In some places, it is good to build your shelter of the ground to protect your self from things like spiders and other bugs. If it is possible to build your shelter near running water then you should but a safe dissent away so the insects are a while away from you. If you would want to make your shelter near water you would have to make it off the ground just in case the water floods! Your shelter will need to protect you from mosquitos, other insects and deer rain and other stuff! Maybe you could build your shelter up a tall tree! To build your shelter you could use lots of different things like big sticks, flax, something sharp and big leaves! The leaves will protect you from the rain! You could sleep off the ground and you could use big leaves as a blanket but you would have to shake the tree leaves out from any insects!
