Chapter Challenge

This is my chapter challenge for this week! I worked by myself and I think I worked well! I researched on constellations! The top of the flaps say: 1 What are constellations, 2 Unknowon constellations, 3 Easiest constellation to see and 4 How to find the north star!  I really enjoy research! I had lots of fun making this! At first I  made it on a slide but I wanted something better so I did it on a piece of paper!

First chapter challenge

This is my first chapter challenge for this year. I worked with Teana and we did creative staion. We made a dray. The easist part was making the bags on top of the dray. The hardest part was gluing the weels on to the dray. The driver is having a coffe break and so are the kids. It was really fun making the dray. I think are work is a super nova because we put all are effort into it.

Visual Pepeha Star

Over the last week I have been working on my visual pepeha.

I am proud of how good I drew, especially my mountain because there was lots of different photos to choose from. I did not just want to do a triangle I wanted to make it the real shape and as realistic as possible.

What I found challenging was fitting all my photos onto my star because some were really big( like my granny and grandpas heads) and some were really small. I was able to fit every photo on in the end!

I worked with Tayla, Teana and Jessica to create my whanau star. They had some really good tips to use that were really helpful. I think all are whanau stars are amazing! 

I really injoyed makeing my star with my freinds I am happy how it turned out!

 

First blog post 2020

Something that has surprised me this week was that when we were doing the roll Mrs Coles came in and sat down! When we finished the roll she said she had something for us because we gave her a chocolate! She gave us all a milky way chocolate!


The activity I have enjoyed the most this week is today when we went on the water slide and it was really fun because we could do it in pairs and me and Jessie went together!


What I am most looking forward to this year is swimming because I love swimming and I enjoy it. I like having free play and swimming.


Someone who has helped me so far is when we were making the blogs me and my buddie feel behind every body so we had to get help and I asked Mia to help us and she did!

Reindeer food

These are the two recipes I made for the reindeer. I search up what reindeer eat so I could put in things that they eat. I found out that reindeer sometimes eat bird eggs! The first recipe I made was reindeer cookies and this is the recipe: Ingredients: 1 carrot, 1 cup of reindeer moss, 3 willow leaves, 1 cup of water and 2 bird eggs. 

How to make: get a bowl and crack the eggs into the bowl

2  chop up the carrot and put half of it into the mix

3  rip up the willow leaves and put them in the bowl

4 put the moss in the bowl 

5 slowly pour the water into the bowl

6 mix and put on a baking tray then put in the oven

 7 halfway through cooking them put the carrot on top

8 cook for 1 hour.

This is the second recipe.

Ingredients: a carrot. 1 cup of water, 6 bird eggs, and 10 willow leaves.

How to make: 1 rip the willow leaves into the bowl
2 crack the bird eggs into the bowl
3 add the 1 cup of water into the bowl
4 chop up a small carrot and put it in the bowl
5 put the mix into a cake pot
6 put the cake into the oven and wait
7 Let it cook for an hour

Christmas around the world.

This is my research I did about Christmas in Brazil. I choose Brazil because I did not know anything about Christmas in Brazil. I have found out lots of things like kids in Brazil hang a sock out there window and Santa swaps it for a present! They have really big fireworks in Brazil next to there really big Christmas tree.  I think I like Christmas in New Zealand better though. I have really enjoyed researching about Christmas in Brazil.                                                                     

Wrapping paper

This is the wrapping paper I designed for the Whetu Christmas count down. The level I chose to do is the Rudolf level. I put yellow and green as my main colors because I think yellow and green go well together. I have colorful presents under the tree to give it some more color. I think I did good and I would buy this wrapping paper from the shop. I had lots of fun making the Christmas wrapping paper.
